• What restrictions does the Prefit Demo version have?

In
the demonstration version of Prefit you can not save the generated
surface to a Maxsurf Surface Design file (.msd). The Save Surface As
function has been disabled.

Yes, Prefit can be activated from the Edit menu in all versions of Maxsurf.
