Lost or Stolen Copy Protection devices

All software developed by Formation Design System (FDS) is supplied with a copy protection device.  This is also known as a CPD or dongle.

The copy protection device enables the use of licences purchased.

In the event that a copy protection device is lost or stolen, this is equivalent to losing your licence for the software. FDS will consider the circumstances on a case by case basis, however our standard policy is that FDS considers that the loss of the copy protection device is the loss of the licenced software and consequently the cost to replace the licences is the current purchase price of the software.

FDS recommends that the end user undertakes to cover the cost of replacement licences as part of your normal office insurance policy.
