DonkeyPublic

One very useful tool that we provide on our cd's for diagnosing dongle problems is Donkey Public.  This application is located in the \Dongles\DonkeyPublic\ directory on our cd and can be run directly from the CD by double-clicking on the DonkeyPublic executable.

This application gives you a few options - the most important of which is 'Detect a standard dongle' and 'Detect a network dongle'.  This program should be run on the same machine that has the dongle attached and will look for the dongle and if found tell you what software licenses it is programmed with.  This can be very handy if your company has multiple standalone dongles and wish to check what licenses is on each - or if you want to confirm that a particular network dongle has enough licences available for your users.

DonkeyPublic can be used to reprogram a network dongle remotely when combined with a special license file we generate for you.  So if you require further licenses, let us know and we can give you everything you need to add those extra licenses quickly.

Lastly, DonkeyPublic can also be used by distributors and resellers to clear one of our dongles of current programming.
