Multiframe Structure Wins Steel Design Award

Modern Steel Construction magazine awarded the S. T. Dana Courtyard Infill expansion the Engineering Award of Excellence for the $10 million to $25 million category. Multiframe was the engineering software used on the project by Structural Design Inc.

AS4100 & LRFD Updated, BS 5950 Added

The latest release of Steel Designer incorporates updates for steel design and optimization in accordance with Australian Standard AS4100 and US LRFD codes and adds support for BS5950.

Tips & Techniques

If you receive an error message during analysis that there are "Suspected unrestrained degrees of freedom", if you click Cancel rather than Continue, the joints in question will be selected in the Frame window allowing you to locate the source of the problem. If you immediately select, Clip To Selection or Mask To Selection, the problem area will be easily visible.
