These videos give you a brief overview of some of the capabilities of the Maxsurf suite of software. They show a short demo of each of the three major applications, moving through from hull modelling to hydrostatics and stability and initial structural definition.
Maxsurf Modelling
This video shows the core Maxsurf hull modeller in action. It shows control point manipulation, surface trimming and interrogation of the design's curve of areas and hydrostatics properties. play
Hydromax Stability Analysis
The Hydromax module is used in this video to show how stability calculations can be carried out using direct, graphical control and feedback. Advanced options include grounding and stability criteria. play
Workshop Preliminary Structure
With Workshop, you can define the preliminary structure of your vessel including frames, decks, stringers and shell plates. All parts are defined directly from the Maxsurf hull surfaces. play
Hullspeed Resistance Analysis
In this video you can see how Hullspeed can be used to calculate the resistance for a range of vessel types such as container ships, planing vessels and catamarans. The video also shows the calculation of a free surface wave pattern. play
Seakeeper Ship Motions Prediction
This video shows how Seakeeper allows you to quickly calculate and animate ship motions from a Maxsurf surface model. play
